Along with our agency partners at john st., we went fast and furious on "Canada's Team," turning a wild playoff timeline into a poignant little film that cut through the noise and became one that Home Hardware called their best partnership spot yet.

Off Screen Romance teamed up with the CBC for a holiday campaign that was basically a Canadian celebrity all-star game. The mission? Wrangle the schedules, quirks, and wish lists of 21 national treasures – from the foverer missed Catherine O’Hara to Martin Short, Sandra Oh, Eugene Levy, Jay Baruchel, Howie Mandel, and Shania Twain. Six shoot days, countless moving parts, and just enough holiday magic to keep it all humming. Honestly… how could we ever say no?

Facing intense survival-style challenges, the athletes relied on Ski-Doo snowmobiles to navigate deep powder, steep climbs, and unforgiving backcountry terrain. Blending adventure, athleticism, and extreme conditions into a compelling multi-platform content experience. The campaign culminated in a feature presentation on Discovery across North America. "

When asked to create a vibrant, joyful night-on-the-town aesthetic we knew utilizing bold colours and dynamic camerawork, matched with high-energy, rhythmic editing, and seamlessly blending pop culture with branded content would be the easy part. The challenge would be recreating a European city feel in a Canadian city more than 500 years younger, over two freezing nights in March. Through careful scouting and planning, as well as a little international collaboration, the result is a highly engaging, energetic, and vibey night out with Budweiser at the center of good times.
